Fig.4 Defect in the palate is covered with custom made prosthesis. Patient can have good speech and swallowing without air and food getting into nose through the defect. This prosthesis needs to be removed and cleaned.

Fig.5 Defect in the palate can be closed permanently using a micrvascular flap. Dental implants can be placed in the reconstructed bone.
